What Does Our Community Access Support Include?

Is Community Access Different from Social Participation?

I've been with Blessed Pathways for six months now and I feel like a completely different person. My support worker helps me get out into the community and try new things. I look forward to every session. They truly care about you as a person, not just a participant.

As a family from a Filipino background, we were worried about finding support that felt culturally comfortable. Blessed Pathways made us feel so welcome. They understood our values and found us a worker who speaks our language. It has made all the difference for our mother.

The Blessed Pathways team helped me move into my own place through the SIL program. I never thought independent living was possible for me, but my support worker helped me build the skills and confidence to do it. I'm proud of how far I've come.

We used the respite and short-term accommodation service during a difficult time for our family. Knowing our daughter was in safe, caring hands gave us the break we desperately needed. The staff kept us updated every day. We came back feeling refreshed and grateful.

NDIS community access support helps participants engage with their local community by attending appointments, joining activities, accessing services, and building social connections with the assistance of a trained support worker.
Not exactly. Community access focuses on helping participants get out into the community for appointments and activities. Social participation focuses on building social skills and relationships. Both are funded under NDIS Core Supports.
Community access is funded under the Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation support category in your NDIS Core Supports budget. Blessed Pathways is a registered provider that can claim these supports.
